DataChannel is looking for a Database Administrator responsible for  maintaining and optimizing databases, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our SaaS product. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify potential issues with databases and fix those issues.
  • Make recommendations about database settings, configuration and upgrades.
  • Responsible for the smooth operation and performance of databases in production.
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to design schemas, tables, tune queries, write database code, and archiving data.
  • Help developers to optimize queries, stored procedure and database design.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Maintain and monitor performance, space utilization, uptime and availability of all database systems. Report on all performance metrics.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify target prospects followed by a well-defined follow through plan to close new business.
  • Leverage and build a regional and industry network to identify new client and sales opportunities.
  • On a daily basis, track prospects – identify decision makers, time lines, hot-buttons, and specific qualifications.
  • Day-to-day responsibility for specific existing business and new sales opportunities.
  • Reaching out to prospects and doing an initial pitch for providing our services and product.
  • To understand the client’s business wants and needs, and identify concrete opportunities where DataChannel can add value.
